***MARCH MADNESS***

March is a fun time of year for me.  Here in Utah, the weather is starting to turn warm and the snow and cold weather is mostly behind us.  Not that we won’t get a few bad weather days...we most certainly will.  It is Utah after all.  This is the land of coats in the morning, t-shirt afternoons and coats again.  But after the long winter, a little sunshine and 60 degrees feels like heaven.

On the book front, I’m excited to announce the sixth book in my Warrior Series has been released.  Exposed is the story of Lillie, Ty Brody’s pilot.  She enters the world of Nick and Dante and turns both of their lives upside down.  They are both forced to deal with a shaky past, uncontrollable feelings and fears.  Lillie also has a few skeletons and severe trust issues when it comes to men.  In addition to personal obstacles the warriors must face - Radek is planning something big.  There are a lot of secrets revealed in this installment.  What are you waiting for?  Go get it today!

I also have another new release.  Mount Haven is the first book in my new Thin Blue Line series.  Mount Haven has been out since the end of last year.  It is a criminal suspense with a little romance added in for good measure.  You should grab a copy from your favorite distributor.  I think you’ll really enjoy meeting the Coopers and the rest of the Mount Haven crowd.

So, what’s next?  Well, I just completed a short horror story I’m calling Pyrohypnosis.  It will be released sometime this fall along with several other stories written by indie authors around the world.  Obviously, horror is not my typical genre but it was a lot of fun and a great learning experience for me.  I have also began to write the second book in my Thin Blue Line series.  The next book picks up where Mount Haven left off and is coming along nicely.  I think you will enjoy the return to Mount Haven and hearing what the gang is up to...with a few new additions.

On a personal note...I decided to retire from the Police Department this month.  It has been an amazing experience but it was time to go.  I’m really looking forward to having more time to focus on my writing and all the extras that go with it.  I have so many new ideas for stories and projects the challenge will be picking just one to start with.  I hope you will stay tuned for some exciting new things to come.

Thank you Tom. I have tried to cram so many things into the day for so long I am really looking forward to having the free time to pursue my other passions. Like you said, no matter how good a job is…it’s still a job. I will always cherish the time I spent with my law enforcement family but I am also honored to have met so many new and amazing people in the writing world. When one door closes, another opens and I’m looking forward to seeing where this one leads me. Hope you enjoy Dusk when you get time to read it. Now that I have retired I too can catch up on my TBR list, which includes ‘A Taste of Honey’.

A great post to start the day Melanie full of positive news. It was also a reminder to me to get your first ‘Warrior’ book out from my TBR. I’m delighted to hear you’ve been able to retire, because as good as a particular job might be – it’s a job. I know from experience my time is enjoyed more when I’m writing, but you have so many other activities to squeeze in, it will be fun to watch you trying. Good luck with the new books. Go on and enjoy.
